Foster Homes
Foster homes are always urgently needed to provide temporary shelter until a permanent home is found. If you cannot commit for 10 years, fostering is an excellent option. For more information contact Sophie at 514-523-5052
Help out a dog in need by buying me a coffee.
Hey there Sophie,
Just thought I would put it up here as for the offer of a foster home, and or home checks.
I presently have a large male, 2 cats not scared of dogs.
And a daughter.
I can foster any puppy up to age 4 month, male female, after that must be female.
I go home at lunch, and with a puppy, I can make daily little breaks too during the work day..
Hello Sophie,
I tried to call you earlier today, but I received no answer. Judy told me about your fostering needs - I live in her building - and was wondering if I could be of any assistance. I have no other pets, but as I am a freelance photographer, I work from home and can spend most of my day giving the puppy, or dog lots of attention! I go for walks everyday and am prepared to ensure the happiness of the little guy until he or she finds a perminant home!
Email me!

Hello,
I am a student living in a big apartment downtown and want to offer my place as a foster home for dogs (preferably smaller one). I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have cared for dogs in my apartment. I also have three roommates who will help me love and care for the dog. Since we are 4, and are students, we have flexible schedules and one of us is almost always home.
Please email me if you need any more information.
Thanks,
Lauren
Hi Sophie,
We spoke a couple of days ago about fostering a particular dog. We discussed you sending me a Fostering Application, but I never received it. I’m guessing that my email address didn’t work.
Well here are 2 that should.

Hey Sophie,
I am a student living alone in Downtown Montreal, in a big apartment. I have a lot of spare time as for my classes are only twice a week. I have had a lot of experience with dogs. I have had a dog since I was 12 years old for 6 years. I am a dog lover and would love to foster a puppy! Preferably a young puppy.
Please get back to me if you need anything!
Alexandra
Hey Sophie,
I am currently I student in Montreal, and I live downtown in a medium sized apartment. I have a lot of experiences with puppies/dogs. Since I was 12 years old, I have had a dog for 6 years! I love dogs with a passion and would really care and love to have a puppy around. Since I live in a medium sized apartment, I would really much love to have a very young puppy. Although, I am a student, I have classes twice a week and have plenty of free time to be around to keep the puppy company. I would love to foster a puppy until you find him a perminant home.
Please let me know!
Thank you,
Alex

Hey Sophie,
My roommate and I are currently students at McGill and we would love to adopt a dog (preferable a puppy) for May. Our friend Ilana Lowes adopted a puppy from you in December and LOVED the experience, and she recommended your service to us. My family has owned dogs since I’ve been in grade school so I have a lot of experience. We promise to give all of our love and attention! Please let me know if you need our help! Feel free to call/email at any time!!

Hello
I would like to offer my services as a foster parent for any dog that is in need of a temporary home. I live in Notre Dame de l’Ile Perrot and have a 13000 sq ft lot that my 2 little dogs and cat really enjoy.
With the moving season around the corner, many will be abandoning their pets and this breaks my heart, so if I can do anything to help, then please feel free to contact me.
Best Regards
Sharon
Hi Sophie,
Just to let everyone know, I adopted the dog called Gary from you about 2 weeks ago. He was the one you saved from “Death Row” at the SPCA.
Firstly when we got him, he looks so sad, his teeth were in bad shape, he cried when he played and we thought something must be wrong with his legs.
Well after two weeks, he has had good food, and great hair cut, and made good friends with our dog Buddy. We moved to New Brunswick, where we have a farm. Gary who we now call Scooby is playing constantly with Buddy. He is happy, and doesn’t complain too much about that leg, as he had when we first got him. Buddy is happy to have him as a friend. Scooby is so good. He hasn’t had any accidents, he is sweet and really a joy.
We still don’t understand why he would have been given to the SPCA to be put to sleep. He is wonderful. We love him dearly.
If anyone is thinking about adopting or fostering a dog from Sophie, I can only say, if she approves of you and you have a chance to better a dog’s life, GO FOR IT! All of us, my husband, my dog, my cat… and now Scooby are so happy we did.
Thanks again Sophie. You matched us up with the perfect dog. I think, he thinks we are perfect too.
hi there ,we are 2 adults living with two beautifull cats, i dont know if we would be able to adopt a dog, but i sure am interested in fostering your little dashchund. we love animals, and i am home the whole day, we have no children. We dont know if we would like to commit to another animal for another 10 years. we certainly could foster a smaller dog for a period of time. this dashchumd is gorgeous. we are gone from the 27th of june until the 5th of july , if you would like to contact me after that, i would certainly love to hear from you regards Helen Panneton
Hi Sophie,

I have been thinking about offering my services as a foster mom for a while and I know this is a particularly difficult time of year with all the moving abadonments.
I have never owned my own dog but I dogsit my friends dog 2-3 days a week and was brought up with dogs all my life. I work from home and am here most of the day and am able to take dogs out for decent walks in the day. I will have my friend’s dog here full time for the first 2 weeks of July so I would only be able to foster dogs that he could get on well with. He gets on with most dogs except very dominant breeds.
Please contact me if you need help and I would be happy to offer my services.
Thanks,
Kate.
I would consider a temporary foster dog but I have a few problems. I have experience, love them and am retired so have the time. I live in a senior’s apartment building and a large loud barking dog would cause complaints although I am allowed pets. I go over the US border once a month so it would need a rabies certificate. I live near parks and my hobby is working so Maybe? There are a few breeds that cause allergic reactions so do you think you have a match? Phone 514-484-3599
Hey,
I do not have any pets but would love to foster a med sized dog. I do work full time however I live very close to a large parc witch I am at very often.
Thanks and good luck
Dominic
I would be interested in fostering a dog. I have a sheltie and 2 cats. I work in a boarding kennel, so the dog may be able to come to work with me. I would to foster a small or medium sized dog that is social with people, dogs, and cats. We live close to 2 large parks, and my dog would love someone to play with. I’m interested in dog training, and would give it basic obedience training also.
Thanks for your time
Miranda
Hi Sophie!
I have lived in an appartment for about 10 years with my family and never had the space to keep a dog or cat. I actually grew up with lots of animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, fishes, birds) when I was little and we had our own house in another country.
But starting August 31st, I will be moving into my new house that also has a back yard. I am very ready to give love to an animal again. Fostering a pet (preferably a dog) is my best option now since I cannot ensure I can commit to one that’s my own till the end of life. But I would love to be able to babysit our four-legged friends until they find new permanent homes!
PLease let me know if there are any furry friends that I can take care of.
Hello Sophie,

Hi Sophy!
I have never had a dog. I am a cat person, but I have an allergy to my favorite animals. I want to have a pet, but since I am planning to move from Montreal and owing a pet is a big deal, since I don<t want to be put in a situation when I will have to give up my animal, I would like to be able to foster a midium size dog for few months that are left before my moving. There is a possibility that my sister will also be interested, although she is staying in Montreal.
Thank you, natalia.

Hi Sophie!
I’m currently a student at Mcgill living in a Montreal downtown apartment. I’m finding i have a lot of time on my hands and would love to fill that time with loving a foster puppy. I absolutley love dogs and i’m missing my little yorkie at home! I have lots of experience with taking care of dogs as i have had one for my whole life. Fostering a small dog or puppy is something i am really considering and i would love to get any more information you have about the process.
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Melanie
